Clicking and Counting

When I can’t think of anything to write about, I click my teeth and type numbers. one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen. I do this because I like the sound of my teeth, the sound of the keyboard. sixteen seven eighteen nineteen twenty twenty-one twenty-two twenty-three twenty-four. I do this because it takes up space and feels like I’m being productive. twenty-five twenty-six twenty-seven twenty-eight twenty-nine thirty thirty-one thirty-two. Maybe by the time I get to one hundred I’ll have something to write about.thirty-three thirty-four thirty-five thirty-six thirty-seven thirty-eight thirty-nine forty forty-one. Or I’ll have my teeth worn down so far that I won’t have anything left to chew with. forty-two forty-three forty-four forty-five forty-six forty-seven forty-eight forty-nine fifty.
