I Like To Go For Walks Alone

I like to go for walks alone. I don't glean any fantastic inspiration or epiphanies. I'm no Thoreau. I don't do it to just get out of the house. I just like the peace and quiet and rhythm and blues.

I follow the path of leaves.
I follow the path of leaves.
I follow the path of leaves.
I follow the path of leaves.
I follow the path of leaves.
I follow the path of leaves,
to find out where it ends.

I could never safely drive a car. There's too many things rushing racing rushing racing past the window that I may never see again. I would never be able to keep my eyes on the road, on the road, on the road.

If I was driving, I would have missed the empty train tracks and the resolute trees and the water and the hills and the skies. Why is there such a word as 'skies'? There is only one sky.

I would have missed that.
I would have missed that.
I would have missed that.
I would have missed that.
I would have missed that.
I would have missed that,
but I'm glad I didn't.

  1. My comment has nothing to do with your post, though I love the pictures and I, too, like to take walks by myself. It's very calming.

My comment's motive is to invite you and any fellow AP folks to my second block to help out with some peer review/essay workshop. The days we'll be working on essays in class next week are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

    :)
