The Rest Is History

When Gregg went on his first date with Amy, she was engaged.

It was in graduate school or something. The details are fuzzy. I wasn't giving my dad my full attention because I already knew how Gregg and Amy's story ended.

They were both finished taking their CPA exam. IT was the three day fiend that would determine if they were ready to leave the world of education and enter the arena of reality. A bunch of their friends were going to go see a movie, something like that. But everyone bailed because they were so tired. So they went, just the two of them.

When my dad, I mean, Gregg, was driving Amy home, she said "Doesn't your dad live around here?"

In fact, he did. Gregg made a split second decision and turned right at the next street. He nearly missed the turn. But he did turn, and the rest is history. That's what he said when he told me the story. The rest is history.

I have one thing to say. The phrase "What if" is very unhealthy.
