I'm stationed at the carnival's moonbounce. It is called the Kiddie Kastle, spelled just like that - Kiddie Kastle. Children are noisy. They go into the inflatable thing in groups of five, get two minutes to jump around and ram into each other, and then are dragged out by me and my partner. This costs them three tickets. It costs me my sanity.
If I'm volunteering here for three hours and fifteen minutes, and I subtract five minutes for clean up, thats 190 minutes. At two minutes a cycle, that is almost 100 times for me to separate the little beasts into small groups, yell at other kids inside to get out, and then drum my fingers against the air-filled plastic lining as the seconds on my stopwatch click towards one-hundred twenty. Then repeat. One hundred times.
This is not fun.
builds character.
